Did you know that…
... Dallmeier HD cameras are equipped with an analogue preview output to enable an easy installation?
Just like the IP cameras, the Dallmeier high-definition box and fixed dome cameras are also equipped with an analogue SD output for image preview. This preview output is especially advantageous with the installation of the camera: The installer does not have to climb up and down ladders, but can work with a small monitor in order to ideally align the camera just like he is used to with analogue cameras.
... Dallmeier IP cameras come with an individually adjustable user administration?
All Dallmeier IP cameras (SD and HD) come with a comprehensive user administration.
This user administration allows you to determine specific rights for certain users or user groups. It can for instance be determined if a certain user may access live JPEG images.
You can determine and change the settings in the camera menu under "General settings" > "User administration” > “Rights".
... Dallmeier has developed and manufactured the first DVR worldwide?
Digital video recorders have revolutionised the market for video security technology. As opposed to analogue recorders, DVRs require less maintenance and offer a higher image quality, higher reliability and enhanced ease of use.
Dallmeier developed the world's first video sensor with digital picture memory in 1992.
The device was a PC based digital video sensor with alarm picture memory using a 486/33 MHz processor and a 100 MB hard disk. Despite low storage capacities this first digital device was already a solution suitable for practical applications and thus was a significant milestone on the way to success.
In developing the device Dallmeier definitely had to deal with criticism. That was because initially, the idea of using digital picture memories in security technology was not taken seriously – it was even mocked. Given the extremely small storage media capacities of the time, no one was seriously prepared to believe that digital video recorders would ever replace analogue devices. In retrospect, the digital idea has proved to be a groundbreaking development when combined with the right technology, one that has revolutionized video surveillance. These days, however, nobody could imagine the industry working without digital technology.
