Video surveillance and cybersecurity: higher level of security through a private, physically separate network

Video surveillance systems are as much a target for cyberattacks as any other IP network infrastructure. The physical separation between the camera network and the access network is an essential component to increase the cybersecurity of the users. Dallmeier offers a solution for exactly this separation between access and camera network in its recording systems: the so-called ViProxy function.

ViProxy makes a significant contribution to increasing data security and significantly reducing the load on the video network. However, such a high level of security should not be at the expense of convenience, which is why the Dallmeier Device Manger offers system administrators the option of opening a secure maintenance tunnel into the camera network. This allows the usual browser configuration, uploading of certificates, licences or software updates.
