A leading industrial company in the greater Stockholm area faced a clear challenge: How can a large vehicle yard with hundreds of daily vehicle movements be efficiently and seamlessly monitored? Existing video technology could offer either an overview or high-detail footage – but not both at the same time. Together with security integrator CERTEGO, the company opted for Panomera®, the multifocal sensor system from Dallmeier – a cutting-edge solution combining wide-area coverage, detailed resolution and intelligent video analytics in a single system.

Smart solution for complex outdoor areas
Conventional surveillance systems were not designed for such large-scale, dynamic environments. Providing full visibility would have required a high number of single-sensor cameras – resulting in significant costs for installation, operation and management.
In addition, the overview would often be lost when zooming into a specific area. The objective was to find a compact yet powerful solution that could deliver both complete situational awareness and precise detail – in real time and with continuous recording.

Multifocal sensor technology merges overview and detail in one image
The choice fell on the Panomera® multifocal sensor system from Dallmeier. With multiple lenses of different focal lengths housed in a single unit, Panomera® allows simultaneous capture of large areas and high-resolution detail views – without switching perspectives or losing the bigger picture. This is especially valuable for security personnel: Even when zooming in on an incident, the full scene continues to be recorded at all times, ensuring no loss of information.

The project was implemented in close cooperation with SCANVIEW, CERTEGO’s sister company in Denmark, which has extensive experience in deploying Panomera® systems. This strong partnership ensured smooth planning and installation – and resulted in a solution that had not previously been available on the Swedish market.
