SMAVIA Viewing Client is a VideoIP client software for the independent and convenient evaluation of recording systems with SMAVIA Recording Server via Ethernet (LAN/WAN). In addition to fast and intuitive display of live views the integrated functions support an efficient evaluation of the recordings: Sophisticated navigation functions for playback, numerous search functions for metadata, SmartFinder for finding of sequences with movements and PRemote-HD for transmission in narrowband networks.

SMAVIA Viewing Client has been optimised for live display and playback of Panomera® multifocal sensor systems. After the definition of the corresponding recording system, live display and playback can be activated as usual in a split. Observe and use the novel and advantageous features such as individual split definition or corridor mode.

GPU Support
SMAVIA Viewing Client has been optimised for the parallel decoding of multiple HD streams on graphics cards (GPU) with Nvidia* CUDA technology. This allows powerful workstations to decode and display significantly more HD network cameras at the same time and in real time than before. For the display of Panomera® multifocal sensor systems we particularly recommend the Nvidia GeForce* GTX 1070 graphics board. It allows the connection of up to three monitors and even displays very large Panomera® views seamlessly.

Split Definition
The split views can be adjusted quickly and easily to Panomera® channels. The number of splits as well as the respective horizontal and vertical measurements can be defined individually and saved as a preset. The split definition for Panomera® Channels is not restricted to the predefined layouts or image formats. You can define a high split as corridor mode for the display of long distance areas or a wide split to display a large area. You can, of course, combine the defined splits and save them conveniently as a preset.

Location Plans
SMAVIA Viewing Client offers the possibility to create location plans in order to facilitate the orientation in large systems. The location plans are based on JPEG, PNG, or BMP files that represent the corresponding space. The installed cameras can be integrated as icon and field of view with a few clicks. The activation of the live display in a split is equally convenient: by drag&drop or with a double-click.

SmartFinder
SmartFinder is a system designed for the intelligent search of movements within any given area of an image. Thus, it allows for a goal-oriented, fast and efficient evaluation of the recordings. Searching for images with captured motion is easy and uncomplicated. After marking the relevant area, SmartFinder finds the sequences with captured motion within seconds and displays them in an overview list.

PRemote-HD
PRemote-HD is a transcoding method developed by Dallmeier which allows for the transmission and display of HD and megapixel streams, even with low bandwidths. PRemote-HD is particularly useful in cases in which high-quality images need to be recorded, even if only a low-bandwidth network is available to display them. The newest version of PRemote-HD also supports the bandwidth-friendly live display and playback of Panomera® master channels This makes it possible to monitor Panomera® systems also via networks that have such a small bandwidth that they do not support all advantages of the Panomera® technology.

Full installation
SMAVIA Viewing Client  is only available as a full installation. An older version can be updated by installation into the existing program directory. The existing settings are applied.

PGuard advance
The current version for Microsoft Windows 7 (32 Bit) is compatible with the current version of PGuard advance.

Just select the splits that you would like to connect – and define your own preview and save it as a preset.

Corridor mode
You are not restricted to the preset split definitions (2 x 2, 3 x 3, 4 x 4, etc.) or image formats (16:9 or 4:3). Define a high split (corridor mode) to display a long distance area. Or define a wide split to display a large area. You can, of course, combine these splits and save them as a preset.

Zoom with overall view window
The zoom function is particularly useful: Just use the mouse wheel to zoom into the image. At the same time, a small additional window opens in which you can see the overview image and the selected section at all times. You can also just move the yellow box with the mouse in the overall view or scroll to navigate through the image. The additional window can be moved as you wish via drag-and-drop.

Split change
The new split change function is also very convenient. When you want to show the image of a split in another split, just drag-and-drop the respective image to where you want to place it. The corresponding cameras are switched automatically and in real time, without having to interrupt the video analysis. This function is suited in particular for views with large and small splits, but can also be used in all other views.

Camera tree
The overview of all defined recording systems and cameras is shown when you move the mouse to the left image margin. From here, you can very easily activate the selected camera in a split – either via dragand-drop or by double-clicking the camera name. A tooltip with the most important information on the recording systems appears after a mouseover of the appliances. Right-click to directly open the corresponding configuration dialogue box. By the way: If you want to permanently show the camera tree, you can pin it by clicking on the pin icon.

Displaying panels and frames
In addition to split view, you can personalise additional settings for Smavia Viewing Client. If you, for example, want to hide the lower operating panel, just double-click and the video image will cover the entire screen.

Performance monitor
Please also note the newly integrated GPU and CPU monitor in the user interface menu bar. It permanently displays the remaining power of the workstation and supports the optimal operation and usage of the system. And, if necessary, the monitor can be opened in a separate window with a detailed graphical display.
